Thus, the aim of this article is to introduce a model of COI that conceptualizes emotional presence as emotional intelligence and to present pedagogical applications of this. Emotional intelligence would support a much broader role for emotional presence in learning and embrace to a larger extent how emotions play out in the learning process, than singularly “emotional expression” in the original COI framework. "We sometimes must discontinue products, even a beloved item like Choco Taco," representatives of Klondike said in a statement.Īfter the news broke and an outpouring of love for the Choco Taco was shown on social media, Klondike made a vague, yet promising announcement on Twitter: "We've heard from our fans, and we're hoping to bring this favorite treat back to ice cream trucks in the coming years!" It may take some time, so in the meantime, homemade Choco Tacos are the way to go! Fill them up with softened ice cream and let them chill out in the fridge, then dip them in melted chocolate and top with crunchy peanuts.Īccording to Klondike, the demand for other products forced them to "make a very tough decision" to stop production on the Choco Taco. Then, you simply set the cone to drape over the wooden spoon and there you have it… a taco shell is formed! The shells can be made a day in advance and kept at room temperature. The sweet waffle batter comes together quickly and cooks up in a matter of minutes. To make this childhood favorite, all you need is a waffle cone maker, an ice cream scoop (preferably, the kind without a trigger), and a wooden spoon propped up between two cans. The best part is-thanks to the taco shape, you get all those sweet flavors and crunchy textures in every bite. Just like the original Choco Taco, which was first invented by a former ice cream truck driver in 1983, this treat combines a taco-shaped waffle shell with fudge-swirled ice cream filling, chopped peanuts, and a crisp chocolate coating. How is that possible, you might ask? We've come up with a copycat Choco Taco recipe that's so good, it's sure to satisfy your cravings. We're talking about making your own Choco Tacos right at home-it's easier than you might think! No, we don't mean that Klondike is bringing the nearly 40-year-old product back (although there are rumors that this might happen). So much so, that they were nearly sent into an ice cream meltdown… literally! □ But, if there's any good news to come out of this shocking turn of events, it's that the Choco Taco might not be gone forever. When news broke out that Klondike's iconic Choco Taco would be discontinued, fans of the nostalgic summer dessert were rightfully devastated. ![]() ![]() ![]() How do I get Frosty to work again? This is just coming from a layman who likes his 600s. For you, try seeing if there's anything better around that price range that offers more than what the O2 does. The O2 is pretty basic, but that's all I need. So I'd probably recommend the O2 or other amp/dacs in that price range that perhaps have more features. This is basically my way of saying that I personally wouldn't spend any more money than what the Objective 2 costs, for the reason that in my limited experience, I barely perceived a difference in going up to the O2 from my motherboard audio. Not sure if the 600s can be any better, but they certainly sound top-notch with the O2. Maybe that's how they improve in sound quality? With the extra volume, I can better perceive the bass and dynamism of the 600s sound range. That doesn't mean there wasn't one, only that perhaps I had reached the top of the bell curve in terms of audio improvement for the money.īut I will say that the extra volume does scale very well with the 600s. I certainly had more volume now, but I had a hard time differentiating an increase in audio quality otherwise. With that O2 amp, I had a hard time differentiating a difference in sound quality between it and the on-board motherboard audio. I ordered a DIY kit and soldered it together. I also wanted to solder it together for fun, and with the Objective 2, I was able to do so. I ultimately chose the Objective 2 amp because of its low price and neutral sound. So then I arrived at the same place as you, where I'd heard about the amazing effects an amp would have with the 600s. They just didn't have enough volume, and maybe there wasn't enough power being supplied for a full dynamic range. I tried them with my Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and they also sounded fine. I don't have a Bottlehead, I can only attest that the 600s sounded just fine with good motherboard audio. People called him out for being crazy, which he might be, but don't ask me. I also remember reading about someone's experience about using that same motherboard with the 600s, and he said he preferred the motherboard's audio to his Bottlehead Crack. It sounded fantastic, but I wasn't able to get them extremely loud (not that you would want to anyways). When I first bought my 600s, I only had my Asrock Z97 itx motherboard to power it with, but I chose that motherboard in preparation because of its excellent audio codec and integrated amp. I'm not an expert on different amps for the HD600, but I do have some layman experience that might be helpful. Someone who owns the Ember told me it suffers from the same issue. I have the Starlight, looks awesome, but has some amount of hiss noise, clearly audible between songs in a sensitive pair of cans like the Meze 99 Classics. Garage 1217 makes some of the greatest looking amps I've ever seen, in a techie, geeky fashion, where you see all the guts and components and stuff. all Apple products can drive the HD600 quite well - but this depends on the gizmos you have already. The JDS Atom is an obvious example, perhaps the best performance/price ratio in the industry. Get yourself a decent, neutral, transparent, low distortion amp. The science of circuit design has moved past those limitations - decades ago. But this is an amp intentionally made to provide the so-called "tube sound" which, simply put, is distortion, nothing else. It's not because it's a tube amp - you can totally make a tube amp that works as well as solid state amps. But the Crack is schematics from the 1930s, the total harmonic distortion is horrendously high. There's a lot of irrational, echo-chamber hype in this hobby.Īny good amp will do.
